Welcome to the UK's fastest growing logistics company
Hello, my name is Peter Larner and I am the Managing Director of the fastest growing logistics company in the UK. And I would like to introduce you to the team that made that achievement possible.
Suckling Transport has specialized in the distribution of fuel for 20 years. It works for 50 different customers, including Shell and ConocoPhillips. The company operates a fleet of more than 100 tanker vehicles from 17 operating centres around the UK.
At 11 of those locations we offer a spot hire service through our innovative TankShare scheme.
This provides an option of both full and part load deliveries at a published pence per litre tariff.
Placing an order is simple and there is no need to enter into a contract.
Bridging product to inland fuel distribution terminals has become a popular part of the TankShare service, with over one million litres of distillate being delivered by Suckling Transport every day. A large number of FPS members are TankShare customers.
A new full load rate tariff is available with alternative rates from different locations.
Mick Smith - General Manager
Mick Smith joined Suckling Transport as a Transport Manager in 1992 and was promoted to the position of General Manager in 2001. He
holds a Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage and qualified as a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor in 2002.
As one of three Regional Business Managers, Mick looks after the Company’s operating centres at West Thurrock, Coryton, West London, Buncefield, Immingham Jarrow, Bramhall and Stanlow.
Mick is responsible for producing the company’s Annual DGSA report.
Transport Manager - Shell Contract
Whilst certain managers have specific responsibility for some contracts, or indeed regions of the UK, there is a
strong team ethos at Suckling Transport.
Transport Manager Keiron Ellsley has had two spells with Suckling Transport and now has responsibility for the company’s contract with Shell.
